If you spend any time in Florida, you been bitten by mosquitoes. Usually those mosquitoes left the spot, itch and swells, and can sometimes be very uncomfortable. There are a myriad, of ideas and products that you may use to treat your mosquito bite. The first thing you need to remember, is don't scratch that thing, it's just going to make it worse.
You might start out by washing the bite with soap and warm water as soon as possible. Rubbing soap directly onto the bite may help reduce the itching. Dryer sheets neutralizes the substance in the mosquito saliva that produces the itch, or try holding a warm washcloth on the bite for a few minutes. Or better yet, try baking soda and water make a paste and applied to the bites, this
may tend to draw some of the toxins out of your system. Rubbing alcohol often relieves the itching swelling as well.
Or you can run down a Walgreens, calamine lotion, and topical anesthetics may also relieved bug bites. 1% hydrocortisone cream, this may not be appropriate for everyone, may tend to reduce the swelling at the side of the bite. Antihistamines like Benadryl can help relieve some severe mosquito bite reaction. A few more topical products might include, Caladril, Vicks vapor rub, preparation
H, Tiger balm, Gold Bond medicated cream, or Mylanta. Ibuprofen is been known to reduce swelling the same as hydrocortisone cream. Remember, scratching is never a good idea, no matter how good it feels. The etch won't go away, and the scratching may break the skin, and create even more problems for you they can become of infected.
Now if you're a dabber, you may try one of these remedies for some topical relief. Apply directly to the area of the bite. Nail polish, strong tea mixed with rubbing alcohol, toothpaste, mouthwash, vinegar, honey, underarm deodorant, rubbing alcohol, ammonia, bleach. You know if you're really into this dabbing remedy, you might also try some essential oils and apply them at full strength. You can try tea tree oil, lavender oil, witch hazel, or cedar oil. You might also try to crush fresh basil leaves and rub them on the bite site, or plantains. For those that don't want to drink their juice, but where it, try dabber of lemon or lime juice or banana peels.
